Description
Registered Sleep Technologist
Location
Detroit, Michigan
Schedule
- 4 days per week
- 10-hour shifts
- 7:30 PM to 6:30 AM
Contract Length
- 15 weeks
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
- BLS
- 1 year of Polysomnographer experience within the last year
- Ability to score Sleep Reliability using HFHS Sleep Center Guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with children
- Bachelor’s degree with some scientific coursework
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex sleep procedures and therapeutic interventions, including CPAP and BiPAP titrations
- Troubleshoot challenging data acquisition during sleep studies
- Score and tabulate sleep recordings, including sleep stages, respiratory events, and limb movements
- Generate reports and performance summaries for physician interpretation
- Maintain compliance with BRPT standards of conduct
Additional Notes
- Patients start at 5 years of age
- On-the-job training is provided for the charting system
- May work at other sleep lab locations as needed
