RN - Main Conv Care Plus
Overview
- Ambulatory Nurse role in Urbana, Illinois.
- 13-week contract.
- Day shift, 3x12s, 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois.
- Clinic experience within the last year.
- 3 years of clinic experience.
- BLS issued by American Heart Association.
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association.
- PALS issued by American Heart Association.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides and facilitates competent health care for patients and families.
- Ensures adherence to standards of care and scope of practice.
- Documents care accurately and completely.
- Provides health and wellness education.
- Acts as preceptor and supports staff and healthcare student development.
- Provides leadership for quality improvement and clinical outcome initiatives.
- Administers medications by IM, PO, rectal, IV, SQ, and inhaled routes.
- Performs procedures including ear washes, nebulizer treatments, peak flows, splint applications, crutch training, wound care, point of care testing, IV starts and therapy, vision screenings, EKG, catheterizations, and suture/staple removal.
- Assists providers with vaginal exams, suture and staple placement, and incision and drainage.
- Serves on the Code Team when needed.
- Serves as Nurse Lead when assigned during shift.
- Performs patient education, waiting room and exam room rounding, specimen collection and processing, prescription refill support, instrument cleaning, rooming patients, telephone triage, and test result communication.
