Rad Tech 2 - HVI Proc IR
Overview
- Registered Radiologic Technologist role in the Heart & Vascular Institute.
- Patient population includes patients requiring invasive cardiology or invasive radiology studies.
- Schedule: days, 4x10, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Illinois.
- Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year.
- Interventional Radiology Technologist (1 year of experience).
- BLS issued by American Heart Association.
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association.
- Radiography (R)(ARRT).
- Associate's degree in a related field or certificate in radiologic technology.
- Radiology Technologist experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Radiologic Technology experience in a procedural setting.
- Experience with Interventional Neurology.
Department-Specific Experience / Duties
- Peripheral Vascular work.
- Venous Central Lines.
- Tube Changes.
- Embolization work (venous and arterial).
- Venous Thrombectomy work.
- Dialysis work, including AV fistulas, tunneled dialysis catheters, and peritoneal dialysis catheters.
- Tube access and changes for G-tube, Chole, Neph, Biliary, Abscess, and SPC.
- Neuro work is ideal, including cerebral arterial/venous procedures and kyphoplasty.
Work Conditions
- Works under the direct supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist.
- May perform on-call duties and variable shifts as assigned.
- Late shift duties may be assigned to meet department needs.
- Must be able to work around and maintain a sterile field during procedures.
- Can pull supplies for procedures.
