Job Description Performs general or vascular ultrasound exams. Assures that a written physician order is received prior to an exam procedure and collects pertinent information prior to the ultrasound procedure. Reviews exams on Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), checking for quality and completeness. Completes proper paperwork and distributes exams for interpretation. Efficiently performs all tasks within their designated room, including cleaning and stocking their room, cleaning the machine and filter, and deleting exams off the machine daily. Demonstrates regard for patients’ safety and comfort during transportation, immobilization and positioning of patient. Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization. Certification: Sonographer | North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners | Prior to Start Date Sonographer | American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) | Prior to Start Date Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) | American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) | Prior to Start Date Basic Life Support (BLS) | American Heart Association (AHA) | Prior to Start Date Notes: Must be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Additional Job Description Demonstrates understanding and follows infection control policies and procedures according to standard operating procedure. Maintains requirements for age specific competencies for the position and demonstrates the knowledge or principles of growth and developments and the skills necessary to provide patient/customer care/services. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of and compliance with: All pertinent safety, health and environmental policies, procedures and guidelines. Working safely, without causing harm or risk to self, others or property. The work environment safety procedures and prompt reporting of unsafe practices, procedures, accidents, injuries or other safety violations to the Leader. The use of all safety equipment and personal protective equipment.Employer
