Job Description Performs general or vascular ultrasound exams. Assures that a written physician order is received prior to an exam procedure and collects pertinent information prior to the ultrasound procedure. Reviews exams on Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), checking for quality and completeness. Completes proper paperwork and distributes exams for interpretation. Efficiently performs all tasks within their designated room, including cleaning and stocking their room, cleaning the machine and filter, and deleting exams off the machine daily. Demonstrates regard for patients’ safety and comfort during transportation, immobilization and positioning of patient. Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization. Maintains requirements for age specific competencies for the position and demonstrates the knowledge or principles of growth and developments and the skills necessary to provide patient/customer care/services.
