Travel Telemetry/Medsurg float RN's are needed for an 8 week assignment to start ASAP in a Hospital located in West Virginia. Shifts consist of 7am-7:30pm. They prefer RN's willing to work 48 hours per week but they will consider RN's for a guarantee of 36 hours per week. The RN will work every other weekend. These are very basic Telemetry patients here. They work with CHF, Cardiac Cath, chest pain, Pneumonia, Chronic renal disease, COPD, Ortho, and Oncology Patients. The Oncology RN's at the hospital will give the nurses their Chemo treatments. The RN's could be expected to float between the 7 different Telemetry units. They might also float to Critical Care but only if they have that experience. They will only see patients that are in their scope of practice. Bed sizes of the units are as follows: OPO (20 beds), 4N (36 beds), 5S (36 beds), 6N (36 beds), 6S (36 beds), 7N (29 beds), Critical Care (20 beds). MOST FREQUENT unit they will be on or assigned to will be 6N & 7N. PCU Nurse to patient ratio 1:4 and MedSurg/Telemetry Nurse to Patient ratio are 1:5-6 depending on acuity of the patient. They have (2 what they call Pairs Units) meaning they have a PCA - (Patient Care Assistant). They use the Kronos System here to clock in and out.
