Post-surgical setting caring for patients that have undergone colorectal and urologic surgery. You will work closely with the Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses for ostomy and wound care needs. Post-operative patients with TPN, NG tubes, and central lines. ***Epic experience REQUIRED*** Unit Specifics: Number of Beds: 22 semi-private rooms Unit staffing description- RN’s, PCA’s, ASA’s, NP’s, Nurse clinicians Type of equipment: wound vacs, traction, iV pumps, chest tubes, NG, trach collars, feeding pumps, , suction, medical air, O2, mini infusers, PCA pumps Documentation system: Sorian, MAK (medications), HEV (bed mgmt.), Pyxis, Vocera Scheduling requirements: All shifts Floating policy: to areas with competency. AMC has an internal float team that assists in filling holes Patient Experience requirements: Post surgical Med/ Surg, Hospital Specifics- Certifications: Academic Medical Center, Level 1 trauma center (adult); Children’s Hospital within a hospital Requested Skill Set: Post-surgical setting caring for patients that have undergone colorectal and urologic surgery.
