A hospital in California is looking for an experienced OR Nurse for a travel contract. The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, and CA License. To hear more about this opportunity please call Medical Solutions today! Call is required 2 shifts/week and every 4th weekend. Candidate must have experience with CV and general cases. Unit OR # suites 8 rooms a day plus 2 Heart rooms for a total of 9-10. # of cases per day 23-25 cases per day on average Certs/Tech certified RN's: ACLS, BLS required, CNOR preferred. Ratios 1 to 1 EMR: Cerner Charge Nurse yes OR techs If scrub OR nurses are too hard to find, we could use 2 scrub techs with CVOR experience to work the mid-shift beginning at 1030am. This could be 12 hours or 8 hours. Weekend Requirement - RN's yes - dependent on needs Call Requirement - RN's No Holidays Scrub Color/ Provided Provided Tele Phillips IV Team No RT 24/7 Yes Pharmacy 24/7 Yes Shifts 8 and 12 hour shifts. Greater need is for our evening shift. So travelers need to be willing to work from 1030-2300 and/or fr om 1430-2300. - Floating: No floating outside of OR. CVOR RNs may float to to Main OR from the CVOR if needed Floor specific orientation Yes Common types of cases "General surgery, Vascular, Ortho, Endo, Urology….we pretty much do everything here except Trauma (even though we have our fair share of stabbings, gunshot wounds, MVAs etc. We also have a strong Open Heart Surgery program and our CVOR is where we could really use some support. Candidates (RN or Techs) who have experience with CVOR, open heart cases, major vascular cases, and TAVR's is highly preferred. CVOR Candidates must be able to work in the General OR as well.
