Great location in southern Alaska! Calling OR RN Travelers to come enjoy the beautiful scenery of southern AK this Fall and winter(And to not let the weather dissuade you). Hint: Wisconsin, N and S Dakota, and Montana are worse! Large, traveler-friendly hospital. All major surgeries (no transplants). Anchorage is a unique city surrounded by 5,000-foot-high peaks in the south-central part of Alaska along the Cook Inlet, where abundant salmon and whales swim through.
