Job Title: Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology (RN)
Schedule: Deferred Schedule | 10-hour Day Shifts | 4x10s, Mon–Fri with variable day off
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (12/01/2025 – 03/01/2026)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Overtime: Daily OT after 24 hours, Weekly OT after 40 hours (based on differential)
On Call: Rotating call M-F 6 PM–11 PM, Sat/Sun 7 AM–11 PM

Position Summary

Reporting to the IR Section Leader, the Radiology Staff Nurse provides high-quality nursing care to patients across the lifespan, including pediatric, adult, and elderly populations. The RN will support patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring safety, privacy, and dignity at all times. This role requires readiness to manage unexpected emergencies and provide critical care support as needed.

Note: Local rate is $8 less than travel rate

Required Certifications & Licensure

BLS & ACLS

Massachusetts RN License

Experience

3–5 years nursing experience

Critical care experience preferred

Key Responsibilities

Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care using the nursing process

Assess, monitor, and document patient condition, including vital signs and ECG changes

Administer conscious sedation and other medications as appropriate

Assist radiologists with special procedures requiring advanced nursing skills

Recognize and respond to contrast reactions and emergency situations

Provide continuity of care for critically ill patients

Educate patients and families about procedures and health management

Demonstrate proficiency with monitors, infusion pumps, O2 equipment, ventilators, and other specialized equipment

Adhere to patient identification, privacy, and safety protocols

Skills & Competencies

Strong clinical judgment, initiative, and independence in nursing practice

Knowledgeable in physical assessment, aseptic technique, IV therapy, and universal precautions

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Professionalism demonstrated through continuing education and involvement in professional organizations

Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and utilize computer systems effectively

Shift & Schedule Details:

7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Mon–Fri (with holidays and weekends as needed)

Rotating call: M-F 6 PM–11 PM, Sat/Sun 7 AM–11 PM
