Job Title: RN - Med Surg
Facility: Cheshire Medical Center
Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (Days, 12-hour shifts)
Start Date: October 27, 2025
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (with potential extensions)
Certification and License Requirements
- Valid RN License: Active State Nursing License is required.
- NH Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration: Required for staffing in New Hampshire. Please include your license/registration certificate with your submission. More information can be found at NH Office of Professional License & Examination.
- CPR Certification: BLS issued by AHA or ARC.
- COVID-19 Vaccination: Strongly recommended but not mandatory.
Job Description
Join Cheshire Medical Center as a Registered Nurse in our Medical-Surgical Department, providing compassionate care to adult and geriatric patient populations. This position supports holiday coverage, with specific requirements for holiday shift work, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, and the weekends surrounding these holidays. Travelers are expected to work two of the specified holidays.
Your responsibilities include coordinating comprehensive nursing care, participating in patient and family education, and working collaboratively with ancillary staff to uphold the highest standards of professional nursing practice. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment utilizing Epic EMR, with a dress code of professional scrubs.
Note:
- Block scheduling is not available or considered for this assignment.
- All applicable health compliance items must be ordered, collected, and resulted within five days of offer acceptance, with proofs uploaded to Trio.
- COVID vaccination is strongly recommended but not required.
What You Bring
- Proven clinical nursing experience within Med Surg or similar inpatient settings.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Strong adherence to safety protocols, including COVID-19 guidelines.
- Flexibility to work during holidays and weekends as required by the assignment.
Preferred Education & Experience
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent Med Surg experience in a hospital setting.
- Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations.
- Prior EMR experience, preferably with Epic.
- Knowledge of current healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
