Assignment Length: 26 weeks
Weekly Taxable Pay: $701.83
Weekly Stipend: $488.72
Guaranteed Hours: 12-hour days, 36-hour guarantee
Certification and License Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Vermont, _[underline and bold]__.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, _[underline and bold]__.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, _[underline and bold]__. (preferred but may be required)
Job Description:
Springfield Hospital’s Emergency Department is seeking a dedicated and skilled RN to join their team for a 26-week assignment, starting on October 11, 2025. This critical role involves providing top-quality care in a fast-paced emergency environment that operates 24/7, 365 days a year. You will be responsible for assessing, triaging, and delivering patient-centered care to a diverse patient population, ensuring all protocols and safety standards are followed, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Please note that holiday time off (RTO) is not available for this assignment as RTO is reserved for permanent staff. Block scheduling and scheduling requests after submission will not be approved. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of application submission; late requests may result in rescinded offers.
You will work during daytime hours, with scheduled shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM. The facility guarantees 12 hours of work per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours guaranteed weekly.
Additional details:
- No holiday or 48-hour guarantee.
- Orientation is included but non-billable.
- Call, call-back, and charge rates are not applicable for this position.
- OT rate will be different from regular hourly pay.
- Local travelers (those residing within 50 miles of Springfield Hospital) are not eligible for this assignment.

Preferred Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent ER nursing experience in a busy hospital setting.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred.
- Experience with pediatric, trauma, and critical care situations is advantageous.
