Job Title: RN - Labor & Delivery
Facility: Lower Keys Medical Center
Shift: 07:00-19:00 (Days)
Start Date: 12/15/2025
Assignment Length: 13 weeks

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

• Valid RN license in the state of Florida
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP certifications required
• AWHONN certification preferred (can be completed onsite)

WHAT YOU BRING

• A minimum of two (2) prior travel assignments in Labor & Delivery, postpartum, nursery, or Mother/Baby units.
• Flexibility to float to other units as needed, demonstrating versatility and adaptability.
• Strong clinical skills in obstetrical care, with experience managing antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, along with neonatal care.
• Proficiency in utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership abilities to anticipate and plan for safe, quality delivery of care.
• Commitment to maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Ability to delegate and supervise patient care effectively, ensuring safety and quality standards.

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree preferred.
• Prior travel experience in Labor & Delivery, postpartum, nursery, or Mother/Baby units.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND NOTES

• Compliance with AHCA (Agency for Health Care Administration) requirements for Florida placements.
• Candidates must have already reviewed and secured housing within 50 miles of the facility prior to acceptance, with address details provided.
• Please do not submit candidates unless housing arrangements have been confirmed.
• The RN will be responsible for providing care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases, utilizing leadership and clinical judgment.
• The role involves collaboration with other healthcare professionals, ensuring safety and excellence in obstetrical care.
