Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Weekly Taxable Pay: $2,185.32
Weekly Stipend: $1,421.00
Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Certifications and Licenses (Required):

• License: Active RN license in the state of New York (or pending licensure if applicable)
• Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
• Preferred: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Highly preferred
• Experience in Epic EMR System – REQUIRED

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable RN with Epic EMR experience to join our ICU team at Albany Medical Center. This position requires the ability to provide expert care to critically ill patients across various ICU environments, including neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, progressive critical care units (PCCU), and ICU/PAC patients in the emergency department and post-anesthesia care units awaiting bed placement.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable floating between units, demonstrating versatility and confidence in managing complex critical care cases. Experience in a Level I trauma center is highly desirable, and prior experience in a variety of ICU settings will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing in diverse ICU environments.
• Monitor, assess, and respond to the dynamic needs of critically ill patients.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation within Epic EMR.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times.
• Float as needed to different ICU units ensuring continuity of high-quality patient care.

What You Bring:

• Proven experience in intensive care nursing, ideally in trauma or high-acuity settings.
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Comfort with Epic EMR system and electronic charting.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour night shifts on a set schedule.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced, high-stress environments.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN) from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience, with demonstrated competence in managing complex patients.
• Prior experience floating across various ICU and emergency environments.
• Trauma center experience is a strong plus.
