Certification and License Requirements

• Current RN Licensure in State of NY or pending licensure (reviewing clinicians with pending license welcome)
• epic experience REQUIRED
• Trauma Center Experience: RN with Level I trauma center background preferred
• Additional Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required

Job Description

Join the team at Albany Medical Center as an ICU RN, providing critical care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. To succeed, candidates must have prior epic experience and be comfortable floating across multiple ICU settings including neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, progressive critical care units (PCCU), as well as ICU/PACU patients in the ED awaiting bed placement. Effective communication, critical thinking, and adaptability are essential to deliver top-tier patient care.

This is a valuable opportunity for experienced ICU RNs eager to expand their skills within a reputable healthcare facility. The position involves working 12-hour shifts, three days per week, with a weekly stipend of $1,421. The taxable weekly pay is approximately $2,087.79.

What You Bring

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience, particularly within Level I trauma centers or similar high-acuity environments
• Epic Expertise: Proficiency in Epic EMR system is a must-have
• Flexibility: Ability to float seamlessly between nursing units and manage a variety of critical care cases
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with patients and families
• Adaptability: Comfort working in fast-paced settings with the ability to think critically under pressure

Preferred Education & Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred but not required
• Experience in neuro, trauma, or cardiac ICU units highly desired
• Prior float pool experience and ability to handle diverse critical care scenarios is a plus

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
