Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced ICU Nurse for this specialized assignment at Glens Falls Hospital. Epic experience is mandatory—please ensure this is clearly noted on your profile to avoid delays. Immediate requirements include the submission of your New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate, which is essential for staffing during this temporary assignment. Please confirm that your agency can perform the full 14-panel drug screening within 24 hours of offer acceptance before submitting your candidate. The panel must include tests for Amphetamines (including methamphetamine, MDMA, MDA), Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines, Cocaine Metabolite, Opiates (including codeine, morphine, oxycodone, hydromorphone), Phencyclidine, Methadone, Methaqualone, Propoxyphene, Buprenorphine, and 6-Acetylmorphine.
All new and returning agency staff must complete required training from either Welle (welletraining.com) for Verbal De-escalation or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) (crisisprevention.com). COVID vaccinations are encouraged but not mandatory.
Note: Requested time off (RTO) during the assignment must be documented and verified at upload. RTO requests after upload are not approved; a maximum of 5 days will be considered.
Dress Code: Personal scrubs of any color without designs or cartoons; no hoodies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality ICU patient care adhering to hospital protocols.
- Float to Medical-Surgical or Telemetry units as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with all healthcare regulations.
- Ensure all certifications and licenses are kept current and uploaded prior to start.
- Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC electronic health record system.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required.
- Bring your own vehicle for travel between assignments if necessary.
What You Bring:
- Minimum 3 years of ICU/CCU experience (required).
- Minimum 5 years of RN experience (required).
- Proficiency in EPIC electronic health record system (please specify experience on profile).
- Willingness and ability to float to Med Surg and Telemetry units as needed.
- Valid New York State Registered Nurse license (under New York State License).
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (must be uploaded; facility does not hold pending licenses).
- Travel experience preferred.
- Own reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs..
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Nursing degree (Diploma, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing).
- At least 5 years of RN healthcare experience, with recent ICU/CCU background.
- Prior experience working within EPIC electronic health record systems.
- Experience in high-acuity care, emergency response, and critical patient management.
- Supervisory experience is a plus; please provide signed references from recent employment.

This position offers a competitive stipend of $1,421 per week for a 36-hour workweek over a 13-week contract with guaranteed hours, providing stability and valuable experience in a dynamic healthcare environment.
