Shift: Day/Night Rotate - 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM & 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every 3rd weekend + Call, first to float - 12 hours shifts

Certifications and Licenses:

• Valid Nursing License (State-specific) required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification preferred
• CPR Certification required

Job Responsibilities:
As an L&D Nurse at CHI St. Gabriel Health, you will deliver exceptional patient care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. Your primary responsibilities include monitoring fetal and maternal well-being, assisting with delivery procedures, administering medications, providing education and emotional support to new mothers, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment. You will collaborate closely with physicians, obstetricians, and medical teams to provide comprehensive maternal healthcare. Flexibility is essential, as your schedule includes rotating shifts, weekend coverage, and on-call duties, often requiring you to float between units as needed.

What you bring:

• Experience in Labor and Delivery Nursing with a strong understanding of obstetric care protocols.
• Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking skills to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support patients and work seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to adapt to rotating shifts and varying schedules with a positive and flexible attitude.
• Proven track record of delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery units or related obstetric care environments.
• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (ASN or BSN preferred).
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Weekly taxable pay of $2,360.85
• Weekly stipend of $1,246.00
