Job Overview:
Join the dedicated team at Mercy Hospital Southwest in Bakersfield as a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The assignment starts ASAP and runs for 16 weeks, with flexible nights shifts on every other weekend and the first to float.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients’ conditions through telemetry equipment
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, patients, and healthcare team members
• Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols

Certifications & Licenses:

• Valid and current state RN License
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification
• Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS) preferred but not required

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an RN in a telemetry or similar setting
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
• Reliable and professional with a patient-centered approach

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• At least 1-2 years of recent telemetry or medical-surgical nursing experience
• Experience working in a hospital setting, preferred

Compensation & Benefits:

• Weekly stipend of $1,442, providing competitive compensation for your skills and expertise
