Shift: 12-Hour Days

Position Overview:
Join a reputable healthcare system in Nebraska/Iowa as a critical member of their Progressive Care Unit (PCU). We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses with at least 1 year of recent unit experience to provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients. This opportunity guarantees 36 hours per week, offering stability and career growth in a dynamic clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care within the PCU, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing patient needs with precision.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and families to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to respond to patient needs promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Certifications and Licenses:

  • Valid RN License in Nebraska or Iowa
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) Certification

What You Bring:

  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience working in a hospital unit, preferably in a PCU or similar setting.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • A commitment to providing compassionate, quality patient care.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or associate degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program.
  • Prior experience in a community or academic hospital setting.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
