Job Description:
Join the dedicated team at URMC as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, specializing in adult cardiac procedures. The Cardiac OR handles a diverse range of complex cases, including Coronary Artery B bypass Grafts (CABGs), Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implants (TAVIs), Heart Failure Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs), Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), artificial hearts, and heart transplants. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert nursing care to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal outcomes throughout their surgical journey. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment where your skills directly impact patient recovery and success.

Certifications & Licenses:
New York State RN License (NY License) — REQUIRED
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from American Heart Association — REQUIRED

Requirements:

• Valid NY RN License is mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years of OR experience, preferably in a Level 1 trauma setting.
• Ability to scrub and circulate effectively during surgical procedures.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac surgeries and perioperative care.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a high-pressure environment.
