Hourly Rate: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour *based on education and experience
Location: Louisville, KY ; Onsite – School Setting
Position Summary
As a School Registered Nurse (RN), you will support student health and wellness within a K–12 educational setting by providing nursing services in accordance with state regulations, school district policies, and clinical best practices. This role supports students with acute care needs, chronic conditions, and health plans to promote safe learning environments. Responsibilities
Schedule / Shift
- This position will follow the bell schedule of the assigned school
- Hours per week: ~30-35
- Length of Assignment: School Year
- Provide health services to students in accordance with individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) and district guidelines
- Assess, monitor, and respond to student health needs, including chronic conditions and acute concerns
- Administer medications and treatments in compliance with physician orders and state regulations
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in accordance with school and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to support student health and safety
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Required: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
- Additional certifications: CPR/First Aid
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a school or community-based environment
- Strong communication and documentation skills with students, families, and school personnel
- Ability to follow established health protocols and comply with regulatory requirements
- Proficiency with electronic health records or school documentation systems
