Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – High School (In-Person)
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $60.00 – $70.00 per hour
Location: Concord, CA
Onsite – In Person Only Position Summary
RCM Health Care Services is seeking a full-time or part-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide in-person, school-based services to high school students in Concord, CA for the 2026–2027 school year. In this role, you will evaluate, develop, and implement treatment plans to address communication disorders and ensure students can fully benefit from their educational programs while collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams. - School-year schedule aligned with academic calendar (2026–2027)
- Full-time or part-time opportunities available
- High school setting
- Conduct formal and informal evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and speech/language therapy plans
- Provide individual and group therapy services addressing speech, language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic disorders
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student success and implement accommodations
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with parents and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools when appropriate
Education
- Required: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Required: Valid California Speech Language Pathologist License
- Required: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA (or ability to obtain within first year if CFY)
- Successful completion of fingerprinting/background check (employee-paid)
- Knowledge of evaluation procedures, diagnostic tools, and treatment methodologies
- Understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to special education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to assess, interpret, and present diagnostic data clearly
- Strong organizational and caseload management skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families
- Flexibility and adaptability in a school-based environment
