Hourly Rate: $35.00 – $47.00 per hour

Position Summary
RCM Health Care Services is hiring Occupational Therapists for skilled nursing facilities throughout Long Island, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available for experienced clinicians and new graduates. This role involves providing occupational therapy evaluations and individualized treatment services to adult and geriatric residents in a skilled nursing facility. The OT will help residents improve functional abilities, activities of daily living, mobility, strength, coordination, and independence to support their safety and overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Shift details: Monday–Friday
  • Hours per week: Full-time and part-time opportunities available, after school hours, weekend hours
  • Contract length: Ongoing

• Key Duties:

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric residents
  • Provide skilled occupational therapy services to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and functional independence
  • Assist residents in improving activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, bathing, grooming, feeding, and toileting
  • Assess residents’ functional abilities and recommend adaptive equipment or modifications as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, progress, and outcomes
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, safety, and strategies to promote independence
  • Monitor resident progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical needs and rehabilitation goals

Requirements

• Education

  • Required: Degree in Occupational Therapy

• Licenses & Certifications

  • Required: Applicable state licensure/certification based on assignment
  • New graduates encouraged to apply
  • Providers requiring sponsorship are welcome to apply

Skills:

  • Adult and geriatric occupational therapy and rehabilitation
  • ADL training, functional mobility, and adaptive equipment
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and interdisciplinary communication skills
