Job Summary and QualificationsAs the Lead Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist at HCA Healthcare, you’ll be more than an expert in the lab—you’ll be the guide who sets the standard for excellence. In this role, you’ll balance lifesaving, hands-on patient care with the responsibility of mentoring, coaching, and empowering your team. With advanced technology and staffing resources available to you, your leadership will inspire confidence, strengthen teamwork, and ensure every patient receives safe, high-quality care. Your influence will extend beyond each procedure, shaping the growth of your colleagues and the future of our Cath Lab.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading by example during complex cardiac and vascular procedures, ensuring precision, safety, and compassionate care
- Coaching, mentoring, and precepting team members to build confidence, skill, and alignment with best practices
- Overseeing workflow, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining a safe, sterile, and fully prepared environment
- Advocating for patients and families throughout the care journey, providing guidance, education, and reassurance
- Driving team success by supporting hiring, onboarding, and communication of new practices and standards
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Associate Degree
- (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer, or (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician

Cost of housing, mostly all travelers, unclear policies, no unit secretary on a locked unit, RNs expected to "man the door", answer phones and perform patient care. Pay did not equal what was expected of RN role.
