Job Title: Radiology Technician

Location: Kern Medical Center

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Radiology Supervisor, the Radiology Technician will assist in performing complex radiology examinations using specialized techniques and equipment. Responsibilities include taking routine radiographs for medical and surgical diagnosis and treatment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high standards of care. The role requires the ability to work independently without direct supervision.

Required Qualifications:

• One (1) year of experience as a Radiological Technologist.
• Knowledge of modern radiology equipment and techniques, human anatomy and physiology, occupational and safety precautions for radiologic work, and acute care hospital procedures.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and computer proficiency.
• Ability to administer emergency first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
• Capability to maintain records and files, follow instructions, and interact professionally with patients, physicians, and staff.
• Strict adherence to confidentiality standards.
• Compliance with all health requirements designated by Kern Medical Center.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two (2) years of experience as a Radiological Technologist.

Required Education:

• High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology approved by the Joint Commission on Education.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) License.
• California Fluoroscopy Permit.

Preferred Certifications & Licensure:

• ARRT-Radiography (R).
