Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Adult Care team. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals. This role involves providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients, administering medications, monitoring vitals, and educating patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care. The ideal candidate will adhere to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols while maintaining accurate patient records and collaborating on discharge planning.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years of Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital setting, with the most recent experience within the past year.
• Physical assessment skills.
• Medication administration expertise.
• Proficiency in wound care and infection control.
• IV therapy experience.
• Post-operative care knowledge.
• Patient education capabilities.
• Telemetry monitoring skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• EPIC EMR experience.

Required Education:

• Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institute.

Required Certification & Licensure:

• New York State RN License & Primary Source Verification.
• AHA BLS certification.
• AHA ACLS certification (Queens only).
