Travel Histology Technician (Histo Tech) | $752 weekly (Stipend package option available to help maximize your take-home pay) | 36hours/week

We are seeking a qualified Travel Histology Technician for a 13-week assignment starting March 16 at a well-established medical center in Watertown, New York. The ideal candidate will be experienced in histology laboratory procedures and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule & Shift
Day Shift
Start times: 5:30 AM or 6:00 AM
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
100-mile radius rule applies

Responsibilities
Process, embed, cut, and stain surgical and autopsy tissue specimens
Prepare and stain cytopathology specimens following established protocols
Ensure proper handling and management of patient tissue samples
Prepare microscopic sections for diagnostic interpretation by the Pathologist
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure proper maintenance of laboratory supplies and equipment
Perform specialized histologic techniques required for diagnostic purposes
Participate in the laboratory Quality Assurance program

Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or related field OR HTL certification from a recognized agency
Active New York State Histotechnician AAS license required
Strong knowledge of histology laboratory policies, procedures, and safety standards
Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail
