Description

Travel Occupational Therapist | $2482 | (Stipend package option available to help maximize your take-home pay) | 40 Hours

Job Details:
Location: Rockford, IL Shift and Schedule: Day Shift | 40 hours/week | 1 weekend day every 4 weeks, with flex scheduling during that week
Must be available to work July 4th
Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: May 26, 2026

TRAVELER RADIUS RULE: 50 miles
Position Details:
This is a strictly inpatient OT role covering all floors of the hospital. Therapists are not assigned to a specific floor and will work with a wide variety of patient populations.

Primary caseload includes:

Post-op spine surgeries
✔CABG patients
✔Rotator cuff surgeries
✔Mastectomies

OTs are the primary therapists for these patient groups and typically see CABG patients in the ICU on POD#1.

Additional Patient Populations:

✔Posterior hip surgeries
✔Amputations
✔Pneumonia (PNA)
✔DKA
✔CVA
✔Sepsis
✔Various cardiac conditions

Additional Notes:

✔The hospital has an ortho unit where OT needs for anterior THA and TKA are screened by PT
✔OTs generally manage posterior hip surgery patients
✔Candidates must be comfortable working across multiple units and patient populations in a fast-paced inpatient setting
