Travel Radiology Specialist Assistant – Interventional Radiology|$3840 I (Stipend package option available to help maximize your take-home pay) |40 hours/week

Start Date: July 27, 2026 Shift: Days | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
✔️40 Hours per Week (5x8s)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Radius Rule: Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to qualify.
Position Summary

The Radiology Specialist Assistant (RSA) provides patient care services under the supervision of a physician and within approved delineation of privileges. This role delivers age-appropriate care across the lifespan while supporting the continuum of care through clinical expertise, patient assessment, procedural assistance, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
✔️Perform comprehensive patient assessments using age-specific growth and developmental principles.
✔️Deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care.
✔️Assist supervising physicians during interventional and diagnostic radiology procedures.
✔️Manage patient flow and prioritize clinical workload efficiently.
✔️Provide guidance and support to clinical staff involved in patient care.
✔️Respond appropriately to emergency situations.
✔️Maintain compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, hospital policies, and regulatory standards.
✔️Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA/PHI requirements.
Procedural Experience Required
✔️Fluoroscopic procedures, including:
*Upper GI Series
*Small Bowel Follow-Through
*Barium Enemas
✔️Joint injections under fluoroscopic and ultrasound guidance
✔️Paracentesis
✔️Thoracentesis
✔️Ultrasound- or CT-guided abscess drain placement
✔️Bone marrow biopsies
✔️Ultrasound- and CT-guided biopsies of various tissues and organs
✔️Ultrasound-guided interventional procedures
