Description

Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Acute Care | $2800 (Stipend package option available to help maximize your take-home pay) | 40 hours/week

Job Details:
Location: Cumming, GA
Start Date: July 13, 2026 Shift: Days | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
✔️Schedule: Varies
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Radius Rule: Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify.
Required Qualifications ✔️Minimum 15–18 months recent SLP experience required
✔️Active Georgia SLP License
✔️CCC-SLP certification required
✔️AHA BLS certification required
✔️Acute Care experience strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications
✔️Experience with:
*Modified Barium Swallow (MBS)
*FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing)
✔️ICU patient experience preferred

Position Responsibilities
✔️Provide speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations and treatments for acute care patients.
✔️Manage patients with a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses, including:
*ICU patients
*Stroke/neurological conditions
*Dysphagia
*Respiratory compromise
*Cognitive impairments
✔️Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams.
✔️Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
