Schedule: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM | Night Shift
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Dates: September 14, 2026 – December 13, 2026

Pay Schedule: Bi-Weekly 
Orientation Pay: Please note that the pay schedule is bi-weekly and during the orientation, you will be paid 50% of your pay rate. 

Radius Rule: Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Surgical Cardiology unit. This position is ideal for a nurse with a strong Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and/or Cardiac background who is comfortable caring for patients with complex medical and cardiac needs.

Key Responsibilities
✓ Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical and cardiac patients.
✓ Monitor patients using telemetry and recognize changes in cardiac rhythm or condition.
✓ Perform patient assessments and develop and implement individualized care plans.
✓ Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
✓ Monitor patient responses to treatments and promptly report changes in condition.
✓ Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
✓ Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
✓ Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
✓ Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies.

Qualifications/Initial Requirements
✓ Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or eligible compact license.
✓ Active Basic Life Support (BLS) 
✓Active Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
✓Medical-Surgical and/or Telemetry experience required.
✓ Cardiac nursing experience strongly preferred.
✓ Experience caring for cardiac/telemetry patients in an acute-care hospital setting preferred.
✓ Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, and critical-thinking skills.
✓ Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
✓ Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment.
