Duration: 3+ Months Contract (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: Night Shift – 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (3x12 hour shifts)
Location: Cleveland, OH 44111

Job Description:
The Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (MICU RN) provides critical care nursing services to patients with acute and life-threatening medical conditions in a high-acuity ICU setting. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, vital signs, and cardiac rhythms continuously
• Administer IV medications, drips, blood products, and critical care treatments as ordered
• Operate and monitor ICU equipment including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and ongoing care
• Follow hospital safety guidelines, infection prevention standards, and critical care protocols

Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 18 months of recent Critical Care/ICU experience required
• Must have at least 18 months of permanent ICU experience prior to travel assignments
• Active Ohio RN License or Compact State License required at time of submission
• AHA BLS certification required
• AHA ACLS certification required
