Location: Greenville, SC (Onsite)
Duration: 13-Week Contract (Start: 04/20/2026 – End: 07/19/2026)
Department: Interventional Radiology
Job Summary:
The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist performs specialized imaging and assists physicians during interventional and diagnostic procedures in a hospital setting. This role requires maintaining sterile technique, preparing patients and equipment, and supporting complex vascular and interventional procedures while ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging outcomes. The technologist will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and may be required to float to other qualified units as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare patients and procedure rooms for interventional radiology procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and assist physicians during procedures
• Perform scrub and circulator duties in the IR suite
• Prepare and manage vascular access sites and closure systems
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment and supplies
• Monitor patient condition and ensure safety throughout procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR system
• Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies
• Support complex vascular, abdominal, and interventional procedures
• Float to other units or campuses as required based on staffing needs
• Participate in on-call rotation and weekend coverage
Required Skills:
• Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures experience
• Experience working in Hybrid OR or Interventional Radiology setting
• Knowledge of sterile technique and infection control practices
• Experience with vascular and endovascular procedures
• Familiarity with Siemens and Philips imaging equipment preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage multiple procedures in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with PACS and EPIC documentation systems
Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience required
• ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• South Carolina Radiology License required
• Experience in Special Procedures or IR setting required
• EPIC EMR experience (minimum 1 year) required
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
Work Schedule:
• 40 hours/week
• 8 hours/day
• Monday – Friday
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• One night of call per week
• Every seventh weekend rotation
• Floating required
