    Description

    Shift: 12hr Days, 36hrs/wk, 0730-1900

    *CVOR experience required!

    Pay Breakdown:
    • Hourly: $40.39/hr Taxed ($1,454.04/wk Taxed) +
    • Per Diem Eligibility: $1,246.00/wk =
    • $2,700.04/wk Gross Eligibility

    Required:
    • BLS
    • Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology
    • Current Washington State Surgical Technologist license
    • National Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists

    Position Summary: Functions as vital member of the OR team assuming responsibility for the scrub position during surgical intervention. Maintains a safe environment by implementing technical and aseptic practices according to AORN Standards and Central Washington Hospital standards, policies and procedures.

    Essential Functions:
    • Proficient in surgical procedures in a variety of services.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of the various surgical equipment and surgical instrumentation.
    • Assist team members by setting up/maintaining sterile field.
    • Demonstrates proper use of instruments, suture and stapling devices.
    • Demonstrates correct and safe technique in the use of equipment.
    • Follows appropriate procedure for obtaining, returning, cleaning, disposing of equipment.
    • Prepares according to surgeon preference card and procedure.
    • Report and recognize faulty equipment/unsafe conditions.
    • Accurately performs all sponge, needle and instrument counts at appropriate times.
    • Saves and properly identifies all specimens according to department policy and procedure.
    • Demonstrates ability to handle emergency situations.
