Description
Work Schedule:
100% FTE, day shift. Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 4:30PM. On-call rotation required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
Pay:
- This position may be eligible for a $15,000.00 sign-on bonus

We are seeking a Biomedical Engineering Technician II to:
- Perform and record preventive maintenance of equipment through periodic performance checks and measurements.
- Diagnose and implement repairs both in shop and critical care settings including operating rooms, trauma units, emergency rooms, and various other patient care areas in a timely manner to minimize down time.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities performed on assigned medical equipment and update the department database of this record of service, completely and promptly

- Associate's Degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field Required
- Two (2) years of related experience would be considered in lieu of degree in addition to experience below
- Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering Preferred
- 1 year experience working with biomedical, electrical, electronics, IT, or mechanical equipment Required
- 2 years previous experience as Biomedical Engineering Technician or electronics related technical field experience Preferred
- Valid driver’s license in the person’s state of residence
• Must be 21 years of age or have three (3) years of driving experience to operate a Patient/Visitor Vehicle or UW Health Vehicle other than a golf cart or utility terrain vehicle Upon Hire Required - OEM or computer system certifications applicable to UW Health Preferred
