Description

Work Schedule: 

Full-time, 100% FTE, day/evening/night shift. Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM with rotating nights and weekends on-call required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Perfusionist to:

 

  • Provide cardiopulmonary life support for high acuity surgical procedures utilizing cardiopulmonary bypass and ECMO.

  • Support procedures in the Cath lab, Hybrid OR and Intensive Care Units.

  • Assist in the design of institutional protocols and provide continuing education of staff and operating room personnel.

  • Encourage and actively support the mission of the Cardiac Surgery, ECMO and Mechanical Circulatory Assist programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and graduate of Perfusion program Required
  • Master's Degree in related field Preferred

Work Experience

  • 3 years of post-training clinical experience providing CPB for adult cardiac surgical procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve replacements, and aortic aneurysm repairs Preferred
  • Experience in providing CPB for cardiac transplantation, ventricular assist device implantation, and congenital pediatric procedures. Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) as recognized by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) within 12 months Required
  • State of Wisconsin Licensure as a Licensed Perfusionist within 6 months Required
  • CPR certification within 3 months Required
  • Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) as recognized by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) Preferred
  • State of Wisconsin Licensed Perfusionist Preferred
