Description

Job Title: KJMC - Diabetes Care RN

Location: Brooklyn, New York

Must have strong RN experience who functions as a lead nurse. Familiarity with outpatient care and Diabetes a strong plus. Monday, Wednesday, Friday- 8:30am - 5:00pm Tuesday & Thursday session is 8:30am - 7:00pm One to two Saturdays a month 8:00am - 4:30pm

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Diabetes Center of Excellence plays a pivotal role in the holistic management and education of patients with diabetes. This includes understanding the complexities of diabetes management, from medication familiarization to technical troubleshooting of devices, ensuring patients receive optimal and personalized care in collaboration with the entire diabetes care team.

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience with technical aspects of diabetes care, including insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors (CGMs).
Relevant experience in diabetes education.
Proficiency in electronic health records and medical software.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with emphasis on patient-centered care.

Required Education:
-Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s in Nursing or related field.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

Current and valid New York State Registered Nurse License.
Certification in Diabetes Education.
