About the Role
University of Maryland Medical Center is seeking dedicated and skilled Cath Lab Technologists to support its high-acuity Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. This role involves assisting physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures, EP studies, and advanced structural heart interventions. Staff in this position will scrub, circulate, and monitor cases, operate hemodynamic and radiographic equipment, and ensure safe, high-quality patient care throughout all phases of invasive procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing cardiac, vascular, and EP procedures
Utilize critical thinking and sound clinical judgment in all aspects of invasive cardiology
Scrub, circulate, and monitor diagnostic and interventional procedures (PTCA, stents, IABP, Impella, EP ablations, device implants)
Coordinate care plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate documentation using the facility’s charting system
Uphold all federal, state, and facility-specific regulations and standards
Support the workflow, goals, and growth of the Cath/EP Lab
Shift Options
Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (4×10)
Schedules may include 40 hours/week, with required call coverage.
Minimum Requirements
Active RCIS or ARRT-R (3 years required if ARRT-R; 2 years required if RCIS)
Current BLS and ACLS
Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
Additional requirements: TB screening, health certificate, onboarding compliance, Amergis competency completion
Not accepting first-time travelers
Compensation Packages
Travel Cath Lab Technologist – 40 hrs Hourly Pay: $50/hr Meals: $476 Housing: $805 Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,281
