Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide school-based therapeutic services for students ranging from preschool through high school. The OT is responsible for conducting evaluations, delivering treatment aligned with student IEP goals, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining accurate documentation according to the established plan of care.
This is a full-time, onsite school assignment with a consistent weekly schedule and the potential to extend into Extended School Year (ESY) through July 3rd.
Essential Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services targeting fine motor, sensory, self-help, and functional skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and interdisciplinary teams to support IEP goals.
- Document all therapy services accurately, thoroughly, and in compliance with district and state requirements.
- Provide training, strategies, and resources to school staff and families to support student success.
- Maintain therapy equipment and ensure safe usage during sessions.
- Travel to a secondary school site when needed (primary site location most days).
- Perform additional duties as required by the school or supervising team.
Assignment Details
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Caseload: Approx. 40 students
- Age Range: Preschool through High School
- Primary Location: One main campus, with occasional travel to a second site
- Contract Dates: February 17 – June 11, 2026
- Extension Opportunity: ESY through July 3, 2026
Minimum Requirements
- Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice
- One (1) year of professional OT experience preferred
- Compliance with all professional standards of practice
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (as required)
- Current health certificate (as required by state/contract)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local regulations
- Must be at least 18 years old
Compensation
Travel OT
- Pay Rate: $38/hour
- Meals: $644/week
- Housing: $1,337/week
- Total Weekly Package: $3,501
Local OT
- Pay Rate: $75/hour
- Bill Rate: $115
- Total Weekly Amount: $3,000
