Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – $36/hr – Farmington, MO – Through End of School Year

Position Overview:
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide school-based therapy services. This includes implementing treatment plans, collecting standardized assessment data, supporting students with functional and motor needs, and documenting services according to state and professional standards.

Assignment Details:

Location: Farmington, MO
Start Date: March 2, 2026
Duration: 3 months (through the end of the school year; extension possible)
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 36 hours per week (typically 8:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.)
Pay Rate: $36/hour
Modality: In-person
Openings: 1 position

Details of Assignment:

• Serving primarily elementary (K–6) students
• Small number of secondary students (3 total)
• Mix of self-contained and MAP-A classrooms
• Will work alongside 2 district OTs
• Float position supporting multiple campuses
• Services include therapy implementation, functional skill support, and direct student engagement
• Virtual or in-person interview required

Responsibilities:

• Provide therapy services under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
• Implement intervention plans designed by supervising OTs
• Support higher-needs students in self-contained programs
• Deliver 1:1 and small-group OT services
• Collect data and assist with documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, paras, and therapy teams
• Promote functional independence and skill development

Requirements:

• Active COTA license/certification in the state of assignment
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Pediatric or school-based experience preferred
• CPR certification if applicable
• TB screening and health certificate required per state guidelines
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years old
