Description
The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory and pulmonary therapy, management, and rehabilitation under the direction of a doctor. The Respiratory Therapist treats conditions that affect the pulmonary system and help patients who are having trouble breathing from infants to the elderly in a variety of health care settings.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current Respiratory Therapist Certification or Registration for the state in which he/she practices
- One year of respiratory therapy clinical experience preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age Compliance & Ethics Expectations
Will accept RRT or CRT
The RCT-Obj provides care to individuals with intellectual disabilities; helps new residents adjust to their living area; observes and reports behavioral, mental, and physical changes in residents; records and summarizes information in daily logs, clinical records, etc.; works cooperatively with others to promote a positive living environment.
The RCT-Adv. - Intensive Treatment Program (ITP) is responsible for short-term care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities (IID) who also engage in challenging behaviors. In addition to assisting with activities of daily living and active treatment, the RCT-Adv. must demonstrate the ability to implement complex treatment plans that promote safety, skill development, and challenging behavior reduction.
The RCT-Adv. - Medical Short Term Care Unit (MSTCU) is responsible for the care of individuals with intellectual disabilities who also have medically complexities, post-surgical and/or rehabilitative needs. In addition to assisting the Activities of Daily Living, active treatment and achievement of individualized goals for the admission, the RCT-Adv. must demonstrate the ability to adapt to a changing resident population and level of medical acuity and assignment on short notice.
Both RCT-Adv. positions incorporate advanced knowledge of Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ID/DD) unique needs in the plan of care. The RCT-Adv. is responsible to adhere to ID/DD regulations pertaining to, but not limited to: individual protections, active treatment services, individual behavior programs, health care services, and dietary services.
