Occupational Therapist (School-Based) – South County San Diego

Location: South County San Diego
District: South Bay Union School District
Schedule: Weekdays | 40 hours per week
Start Date: April 6, 2026
Contract Length: 3 months (through the end of the school year)

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide school-based services within the South Bay Union School District. The OT will be responsible for conducting student evaluations, developing and implementing therapy plans, and documenting services in accordance with each student’s individualized plan of care.

Responsibilities

• Perform occupational therapy evaluations for students
• Develop and provide therapy services based on individualized plans of care
• Document services and student progress in compliance with regulations and district requirements
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and district personnel

Minimum Requirements

• Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice
• One (1) year of professional OT experience preferred
• School-based experience preferred
• Compliance with all professional standards of practice
• Current CPR certification (if applicable)
• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
• Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Pay Options

Travel OT (40 hours) | 2025–2026

• Weekly Pay Package: $2,835
• Includes meals and housing stipends

Local OT | 2024–2025

• Hourly Rate: $68/hour
• Weekly Gross: $2,720
