Location: Perris Area (K–12 School Sites)
Position Type: Contract
Schedule:
• 35 hours per week for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year
• Part-Time for the full 2026–2027 school year
Compensation: Starting at $75 per hour (DOE)
Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to support a school district in the Perris area. This position will be 35 hours per week for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year and will transition to part-time for the entire 2026–2027 school year. The PT will serve a diverse K–12 student population across multiple school sites and must be available for onsite services.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative professional with strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and experience working within a multidisciplinary educational team.
Responsibilities:
• Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to students in grades K–12
• Conduct physical therapy evaluations and assessments
• Develop goals, accommodations, and service recommendations as part of the IEP process
• Address gross motor development, mobility, posture, strength, balance, and access-to-curriculum needs
• Support safe participation in school activities and functional mobility across campus environments
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, progress reports, and service logs
• Collaborate with teachers, families, school administrators, and related service providers
• Travel between assigned school sites within the Perris area, as needed
• Support implementation of accommodations, adaptive equipment, and movement strategies
Requirements:
• Active California Physical Therapist license
• School-based or pediatric experience preferred
• Ability to manage a K–12 caseload across multiple campuses
• Availability for 35 hours per week through the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year and part-time services for the 2026–2027 school year
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
• Reliable transportation for site-to-site travel
