Clinical Pharmacy Manager
Under administrative direction, has operational and budgetary responsibility for area of assignment. Has responsibility for all clinical personnel assigned to the Clinical Pharmacy Division of the Department of Pharmacy to include hiring, evaluation, assignment, and disciplinary procedures. The position has responsibility for development and implementation of policies and procedures for the area of assignment. Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients by delivering clinically oriented pharmacy services. These responsibilities include patient education and counseling of medications, performing medication histories, and ensuring optimum patient outcomes of therapy. In addition, provide training and teaching to medical residents, medical students, and ancillary professional staffs: i.e., dieticians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and others. Must supervise all activities of the staff as well as set the goals and objectives for the division.
Minimum Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy Degree
- Successful completion of a Clinical Pharmacy Residency or equivalent pharmacy experience within an acceptable clinical practice setting (PGY1 or PGY2)
- Eligible for licensure as a Pharmacist in the State of Illinois
- At least one (1) Full year experience as a clinical pharmacy supervisor, acquiring clinical and management experience within a clinical setting which is an acceptable practice site.
- Must possess knowledge of supervisory styles or philosophies of management and the application thereof.
- Knowledge of computer applications, including database skills.
