School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a school-based team for a leave replacement assignment during the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work with students who have moderate to high support needs, making a meaningful impact while collaborating in a supportive educational environment.

 

Position Overview

The School-Based Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating students, developing individualized plans of care, and providing therapy services that support student participation, independence, and success in the school setting. All services are documented in accordance with each student’s plan of care and applicable regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations for students
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide direct occupational therapy services in a school-based environment
• Document therapy services accurately and compliantly
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Adhere to all applicable professional standards and best practices

 

Assignment Details

• Setting: School-Based Occupational Therapy
• Student Population: Moderate to high support needs and moderate support needs
• Schedule: Full-time
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week
• Contract Length: Approximately 4 months
• School Year: 2026–2027
• Assignment Type: Leave replacement
• End Date: To be determined
• Extension: Possible
• Interview: 30–45 minute virtual interview via Microsoft Teams
• Timekeeping System: Stafferlink

 

Compensation

• Pay Rate: $65 per hour

 

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice
• One (1) year of professional OT experience preferred
• Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
• CPR certification (if applicable)
• TB screening and current health certificate per contract or state requirements
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
