School-Based Physical Therapist (PT) – Part-Time

• Competitive hourly rate (DOE)

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a School-Based Physical Therapist (PT) to support an elementary school district in the Perris area for the entire 2026–2027 school year. This is a part-time, onsite position serving elementary-aged students across one or more school sites within the district.

The Physical Therapist will collaborate closely with educators, families, and special education teams to support students’ functional mobility, access to learning environments, and participation in school activities.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, student-focused clinician with strong pediatric or school-based experience and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary educational setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to elementary school students
• Conduct physical therapy evaluations, assessments, and reassessments
• Develop IEP goals, accommodations, and service recommendations
• Address gross motor development, strength, balance, posture, mobility, and functional access to the school environment
• Support safe participation in classroom, playground, and school-based activities
• Recommend and assist with adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, progress reports, and service logs
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
• Communicate effectively with teachers, families, and school administrators
• Travel between assigned school sites within the Perris area, as needed

Requirements:

• Active California Physical Therapist license
• School-based or pediatric experience preferred
• Experience supporting elementary-aged students
• Ability to manage a part-time caseload across school sites
• Availability for the full 2026–2027 school year
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
• Reliable transportation for site-to-site travel
