School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT)
Belmont – Redwood Shores, CA | 2026–2027 School Year
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is actively interviewing a Certified Occupational Therapist (OT) for a school-based position serving K–8 students in Belmont–Redwood Shores for the 2026–2027 school year.
Position Highlights
-35 billable hours per week
-2026–2027 school year
-K–8 caseload
-Starting at $2,000 per week
-Travel allowances available
Role Overview
The School-Based OT will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support students’ functional, academic, and developmental needs through individualized occupational therapy services aligned with IEPs, physician orders, and district guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
-Assess and address student occupational therapy needs
-Develop and implement individualized plans of care
-Provide direct and consultative OT services
-Collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams
-Complete required documentation
-Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
-Graduate of an AOTA-accredited Occupational Therapy program (preferred)
-Current OT certification (preferred)
-One year of relevant experience within the past two years preferred
-Ability to work effectively in a school-based team setting

The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for performing student evaluations, developing and providing therapy services, and documenting services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each student.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of practice
- One (1) year of prior professional Occupational Therapy experience preferred
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
