Pharmacist – Hospital (Travel or Local)
Location: Cape Cod, MA
Schedule: 7 on / 7 off (Wednesday–Tuesday)
Hours: Primarily 9:00 PM–7:00 AM; occasional 3:00 PM–1:00 AM
Every other weekend and holiday
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: 6/1
Pay:
- Local Rate: $88/hour
- Travel Rate: Estimated weekly take-home $3,241
Position Summary
Amergis Healthcare Services is seeking an experienced Hospital Pharmacist for a 13-week travel or local contract in Cape Cod, MA. This role supports overnight pharmacy operations in a collaborative hospital setting and requires strong clinical judgment and adherence to regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will have hospital pharmacy experience, be comfortable working primarily night shifts, and demonstrate the ability to practice pharmacy at current professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, dispense, and control medications and pharmaceuticals
- Ensure compliance with all Federal and Massachusetts regulations, professional standards, and hospital policies
- Follow Joint Commission (JCAHO) recommendations and best practices
- Accurately document medication-related activity using EPIC
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient care
- Operate pharmacy equipment safely and effectively
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacist License required
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience required
- Ability to practice pharmacy independently at current standards
- Strong attention to detail and clinical decision-making skills
- Comfortable working an overnight schedule
