Pay:
$1,500 per week, based on 37.5 hours
(equivalent to $40/hour DOE)

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time School-Based Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support a school district in Riverside, CA for the 2026–2027 school year. This is an onsite position offering consistent, full-time hours for the entire academic year, starting in August 2026.

The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help students improve mobility, strength, and functional access within the school environment.

What you’ll do:

• Provide physical therapy services to school-aged students as directed by a licensed Physical Therapist
• Carry out treatment plans and support IEP goals
• Assist students with gross motor skills, strength, balance, posture, and mobility
• Support safe participation in classroom, playground, and school activities
• Assist with adaptive equipment and accommodations
• Monitor and document student progress and communicate updates to the supervising PT
• Participate in IEP meetings and team collaboration as appropriate
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation and service logs
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and related service providers
• Travel between school sites within the district as needed

What you need:

• Active California Physical Therapy Assistant license
• Pediatric and/or school-based experience preferred
• Experience working with school-aged children
• Ability to manage a full-time school caseload (37.5 hours per week)
• Availability for the full 2026–2027 school year, beginning August 2026
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Reliable transportation for site-to-site travel
