Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a travel assignment with a leading healthcare system. This opportunity is ideal for a highly skilled Surgical Tech with experience in transplant, cardiac, and vascular procedures who is looking to work in a large hospital environment.

Position Details

• Start Date: September 7, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Schedule: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 Hours Per Week
• Call Required
  • Approximately 3 call shifts per month
  • Weekday and weekend call coverage required
• Client Interview Required

Compensation

• Travel Pay Package: Up to $2,258/Week

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and maintain sterile fields
• Assist surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures
• Handle surgical instruments and equipment efficiently and safely
• Ensure proper sterilization and functioning of surgical devices
• Support transplant, cardiac, vascular, and general surgical services
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication with the surgical team

Qualifications

• NBSTSA Certification Required
• BLS Certification Required
• Minimum 3 Years of Surgical Technologist Experience Required
• 4-5 Years of Experience Preferred
• Large Hospital Experience Required
• Experience with Transplant Cases Required
• Experience with Cardiac Cases Required
• Experience with Vascular Cases Required
• Epic Experience Required
• Ability to work independently in complex surgical specialties

The Surgical Technician/Tissue Processing Technician is responsible for the sterilization of surgical equipment, arrange surgical equipment and adjust medical tools to ensure that the surgical devices are functioning properly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Surgical Technologist certification as applicable per state and/or client requirement
• One year experience as a Surgical Technician preferred (Tissue Processing Technologist – only) 
• Degree in biology related field which includes a degree / certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice 
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age
