Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist (PT) for a 13-week travel assignment at a respected inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Stockton, California. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a collaborative multidisciplinary team while helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life following serious illness or injury.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients recovering from:
  • Stroke
  • Brain injury
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Orthopedic trauma
  • Joint replacement surgery
  • Other medically complex rehabilitation conditions
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Assist patients in improving strength, mobility, balance, and functional independence.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other rehabilitation professionals.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment goals and recovery strategies.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes.

Requirements

? Previous travel healthcare experience preferred
? Previous rehabilitation and/or acute care experience required
? Active Physical Therapist license in applicable state
? Current certifications as required by facility and state regulations

Schedule & Details

• 40 hours per week
• Day shifts
• Weekday schedule with rotating weekends as needed
• 13-week contract assignment
• One opening available

• Active license verification
• Current certifications (BLS/CPR and other applicable credentials)

The Physical Therapist is responsible for performing patient evaluations, as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual patient and physician’s orders when applicable.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice
• Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
• One (1) year of prior professional Physical Therapy experience preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age
